Harry Kane has made his current transfer priority clear as Manchester United continue to monitor the Bayern Munich striker ahead of next summer.

The England captain has been repeatedly linked with a return to the Premier League, with Manchester United among the clubs reported to be interested in his situation.

However, Kane's immediate focus appears to be on extending his stay in Germany.

According to Football Insider, Kane is happy at Bayern Munich and his main priority is to remain with the Bundesliga champions, with negotiations over a new contract already underway.

That gives Manchester United a major complication as they consider their options for the striker position.

The Bundesliga also reported that Kane described the discussions as positive, with the striker acknowledging that there were still details to resolve.

Football Insider's latest report now adds that Kane is not actively seeking a move away from Munich and would prefer to continue with Bayern.

That does not completely close the door on a future Premier League return, but it significantly changes the current transfer picture.
