Liverpool Reach Verbal Agreement to Sign Bradley Barcola in £100m-Plus Deal
Liverpool have reached a verbal agreement with Paris Saint-Germain to sign France international winger Bradley Barcola in a blockbuster transfer that could be worth up to €140 million.

The agreement, according to the latest reports, includes an initial fee of around £100 million, with additional bonuses potentially taking the overall package to approximately €140 million. The clubs are expected to exchange the necessary documents within the next 24 hours as they work to complete the transfer.

Barcola has been Liverpool's leading attacking target throughout the summer, with negotiations between the two clubs continuing for several weeks. PSG had initially placed a much higher valuation on the 23-year-old, but the French champions have now agreed to compromise on their asking price.

Barcola set for Anfield move

The France international is understood to be keen on joining Liverpool, having fallen down the pecking order at PSG following the arrival of additional attacking options.

Barcola has two years remaining on his PSG contract but has reportedly indicated that he does not intend to sign an extension. His reduced role under Luis Enrique has further opened the door to a potential departure.

Liverpool have been determined to land the winger and have continued negotiations despite PSG's initial demands, which were reported to be as high as £145 million.

The breakthrough now puts the Reds on the verge of securing one of Europe's most highly rated young attackers.

Major attacking reinforcement for Liverpool

Barcola's arrival would significantly strengthen Liverpool's options in the final third as the club continue to reshape their attack.

The winger has developed into an established France international and has attracted widespread attention for his pace, dribbling ability and direct style of play.

The deal would also make Barcola one of the most expensive signings in Liverpool's history, potentially ranking second behind Alexander Isak depending on the final structure of the transfer.

Liverpool's pursuit of Barcola comes after setbacks in their attempts to strengthen the wide areas. The club had two bids rejected by Brighton for Yankuba Minteh and have also explored other options, including Crystal Palace's Ismaïla Sarr.

Final formalities remain

Despite the verbal agreement, the transfer still requires the completion and signing of formal documentation before it can be considered officially concluded.

Liverpool are expected to move quickly, with the clubs working toward exchanging documents in the coming hours.

If the final steps are completed as expected, Barcola will become Liverpool's latest major attacking addition and one of the headline transfers of the summer window.

The agreement represents the culmination of a lengthy pursuit by Liverpool, who have finally moved ahead with their top target after weeks of negotiations with PSG.
