Crystal Palace reach agreement to sign Axel Disasi on loan from Chelsea

Crystal Palace are closing in on the signing of Chelsea defender Axel Disasi after reaching a verbal agreement with the west London club over a loan move.

Disasi is understood to be undergoing his medical at Crystal Palace on Friday morning, with the final stages of the transfer now underway.

The agreement between the two clubs will see Chelsea receive a loan fee, while Palace will cover the defender’s salary for the duration of his spell at Selhurst Park.

The move represents a significant defensive addition for Palace, who have moved quickly to secure Disasi on a temporary basis.

Disasi joined Chelsea from AS Monaco in 2023 and has since made appearances across domestic and European competitions for the Blues. However, his position in the Chelsea squad has become less secure amid competition for places.

With the loan agreement now in place and the medical underway, Disasi is edging closer to becoming a Crystal Palace player.

The deal remains subject to the completion of the formalities, but Palace are confident of finalising the move.
